Location and Timing: 39 Hillairy Avenue, Morristown. Everyone participating must be registered and secured their spot in the portal to get important information regarding the build. Our build day is 8:30am-4:00pm with a break for lunch at 12:00pm.
Tasks: There is NO experience necessary to build with Morris Habitat for Humanity. We hope that each volunteer is willing to do whatever is required on that day. You may be handling a hammer, paintbrush, broom or shovel, or assisting in activities associated with the logistics of construction projects. No matter what you are doing, it is a necessary job and appreciated.
Attire and What to bring: Dress in layers for indoor or outdoor work. For your safety, please wear thick material pants and thick soled sneakers. Long pants are required to prevent cuts/scrapes. No yoga pants, stretch pants, Keds, Vans, Toms or opened toed shoes. For sunny days don't forget your sunblock. Please review our Construction FAQ for additional details
