Who We Are
Since 1985 Morris Habitat for Humanity volunteers come together, to build homes, community, and hope! We welcome volunteer groups and individuals. You’ll learn new skills and the value of teamwork all while giving a family a hand up to homeownership.
What We Do
Volunteering on a Morris Habitat construction site is a fun and engaging experience like no other. The transformation from the beginning of the build day to the end is impactful, and you witness first-hand how your hard work empowers families and our community. All are welcome, no special skills are needed! All we ask for is a smile and a willingness to help. We will send you home tired, dirty, and happy! A site supervisor oversees the work and volunteers every day. We will teach you everything you need to know!
We build most Mondays through Saturdays at sites in and around Morris and Middlesex County, Greater Plainfield area and parts of Union and Somerset Counties. Check out our different opportunities to help a family and the community!
If you have school or court-related community service hours to fulfill, please reach out to the Volunteer Director by emailing stephanie.buonarota@morrishabitat.org
We will not verify any hours completed until after you have been approved.
Construction volunteers must be at least 16 years of age to participate on an active build site. Youth volunteers ages 16 or 17 years old must be accompanied by an adult chaperone. One adult chaperone is needed for every 5 youth.
