Frequently Asked Questions about Team Builds?
- To schedule your Team Build, contact Stephanie Buonarota, Director of Development & Volunteer Services at construction.scheduling@MorrisHabitat.org or 973-891-1934.
- Groups are booked on a first- come, first serve basis. A group date is not confirmed until receiving a confirmation email from Morris Habitat.
- Our construction day is from 8:30 am – 4:00 pm with lunch from 12:00-12:30. Unless otherwise instructed, please bring a bag lunch.
- Teams of 5-10 (max) volunteers will optimize your groups’ experience.
- A Morris Habitat Site Supervisor is in charge of the work and volunteers each day.
- We build on most Mondays (except Federal holidays) through Saturdays at sites in and around Morris and Middlesex County.
- You will receive confirmation about the project location, your site supervisor, and the type of work to expect approximately 1-2 weeks before your build day.
- Please note this is an active construction site. We make every effort to anticipate the tasks required of your team, but are unable to guarantee the type of work available on your specific day.
- Volunteers in active build sites must be at least 16 years old. Youth volunteers aged 16 and 17 must be accompanied by an adult. One adult chaperone is required for every five (5) youths.
- Parking is often limited, and carpooling is strongly encouraged.
